Yeah, I know this is going to sound absurd, but I want to try to put an RX 5700 and a 400-500 watt power supply in the pc, I know it probably wouldn't work but I thought I might ask.

@northwoozy,

The HP ProDesk 600 G3 MT was an upgrade projects of mine, and I only worked with a 400-watt power supply (HP p/n: 942332-001) to power first a GTX 1660 Ti and later on an RTX 3060, which has a 170-watt TDP, so I would expect that an RX 5700 (180-watt TDP) would probably also work with the 400-watt power supply.

Kind Regards,

Thank you, you made it very clear, I know the 5700 is pretty beefy for the ProDesk, so I would need to make some modifications to the actual case, would it fit in the graphics card port? And the  ProDesk has a proprietary 400 watt power supply too?

@northwoozy,

According to the specs, your HP ProDesk 600 G3 MT either has a 180-watt or a 250-watt power supply (check your power supply's label), which almost certainly means you'll have to upgrade to the 400-watt power supply (p/n: 942332-001 or alternatively p/n: L76557-001).

You can buy one of these 400-watt power supplies online, such as this purchase example via a trusted eBay Seller: https://www.ebay.com/itm/257021148753?_skw=942332-001&itmmeta=01K0WNP55VH2Y06XT876WJNJ20&hash=item3b....

@northwoozy,

And as far as whether an RX 5700 will fit in your case lengthwise: you'll have to get a ruler and make a careful measurement to see if it will fit.

Graphics cards come in different sizes, and the RX 5700 is fairly long compared to other cards.  Given the somewhat compact size of your case, you'll have to be careful not to get a card that will not physically fit.
