Hello.
I have a problem with the network adapter tp link 401(up to 10 gb). I use the pci express bus and when i restart the computer the famous blue screen appears. I remove the new hardware and it works. I try to install drivers (from tp link web) and it does not work because it needs the hardware inside the machine. Is possible or not install tp link 401 in my computer?
Thx for all

Welcome to our HP Community forum!
Well, the TP-Link TX401 (10GbE PCIe network adapter) should work with the HP Pavilion TP01-3000i, but the blue screen (BSOD) issue suggests a compatibility or driver problem. Please try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Update BIOS & Chipset Drivers:
- Go to HP Support and download the latest BIOS update and chipset drivers for your PC.
- Some PCIe devices require BIOS updates to function correctly.
2. Try a Different PCIe Slot:
- If your motherboard has multiple PCIe slots, try installing the TX401 in a different slot.
3. Boot into Safe Mode with Networking and Install Drivers:
Since the TX401 requires drivers to be installed after inserting the hardware, you may need to install them in Safe Mode with Networking to avoid BSOD crashes.
How to Boot into Safe Mode with Networking (Windows 10/11):
- Restart your PC and immediately press F8 (older systems) or force a recovery boot by doing the following:
- Hold down Shift while clicking Restart from the Start menu.
- Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings.
- Click Restart.
- When the Startup Settings screen appears, press 5 or F5 for Safe Mode with Networking.
- Once in Safe Mode, install the TP-Link TX401 driver from TP-Link’s official website.
- Restart normally and check if the issue persists.
4. Disable Fast Startup:
- Open Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
- Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Uncheck Turn on fast startup and save changes.
- Restart your PC.
5. Check Event Viewer for Errors:
- Open Event Viewer (Win + X > Event Viewer).
- Look for critical errors related to the TP-Link TX401.
6. Test the Card in Another PC:
If possible, install the TX401 in another computer to see if the issue persists.
7. Consider a More Compatible Network Adapter:
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need a 2.5GbE PCIe card, which is generally more compatible with consumer desktops such as yours. Here are some options:
- TP-Link TX201 (2.5GbE PCIe Adapter)
- TRENDnet TEG-25GECTX (2.5GbE PCIe Adapter)
- Intel I225-V (2.5GbE PCIe Network Adapter)
If you follow these steps, you should be able to determine whether the TX401 is compatible with your system or if another adapter is needed.
Kind Regards,

Hello NonSequitur777.
Thanks a lot for your attention, but it did not works. I do not have another pci slot, bios is updated, the safe mode doesn,t work,..... but, repeat, i am very gratefull.
Only one think. For me, it is strange, i guess it is right, but (below in picture) "realtek RTL8852AE WiFi 6 802.11ax PCIe Adapter". WiFi with PCIe Adapter? Again, thank you very much

Hi:
I doubt the Realtek Wi-Fi adapter is causing a conflict with the add on TP-Link ethernet adapter, but it wouldn't hurt to test if the TP link adapter will work if you try disabling the Wi-Fi adapter.
I have yet to find (at least on the HP business class PC's) where anyone has gotten a PCIe x 1 ethernet adapter to work.
Maybe you can try disabling the onboard ethernet adapter and see what happens.
