Hi @DumarE,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are looking for information related to upgrading your Laptop.
Upgrading your HP Pavilion Gaming TG01-101bla involves a few considerations, especially regarding CPU and GPU compatibility. Here’s a breakdown:
CPU Upgrade
Your system has an Intel i3-10100, which is part of the 10th generation Intel Core lineup. The compatible CPUs for your motherboard (H510 chipset) generally include:
- Intel Core i5-10400
- Intel Core i5-10600K
- Intel Core i7-10700
- Intel Core i7-10700K
- Intel Core i9-10900K (if you're looking for a higher-end upgrade)
Make sure to check the BIOS version; sometimes, you may need an update to support newer CPUs.
GPU Upgrade
As for upgrading your GPU, you’ll need to ensure that your power supply can handle the new GPU’s requirements, and that there’s enough physical space in the case. Here are some popular options:
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or 3060 Ti
- AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT
- AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
General Considerations
- Power Supply: Check if your power supply has enough wattage and the necessary connectors for the new GPU.
- Cooling: Make sure your case has adequate airflow and cooling, especially if upgrading to higher-performance parts.
- BIOS Update: Check for BIOS updates from HP that might improve compatibility with newer processors.
Steps to Upgrade
- Research the specific CPU model you want for compatibility.
- Purchase the CPU and GPU.
- Install the new components, ensuring proper thermal paste application and connections.
- Update the BIOS if necessary.

I have a question, I asked about a "Desktop" and you start to give me information about a Laptop, are you sure we are talking about the same computer (or BIOS), is that information the same for a desktop?
Sorry I'm not an expert in this topic.
Again, Thanks a lot!
