I'm trying to upgrade the processor in my old all in one PC from an Core i3 to a i5 4460 3.20Ghz. Socket is ok, bios and chipset should be ok but it doesn't recognise the CPU when I power up. Running Windows 10 64bit. The PC makes 3 loud and low beeps when booting followed 2 or 3 higher pitched beeps. Any advice welcome....

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Your PC's spec are Here.

CPU upgrade options for your MB are limited to 35 Watt TDP processors.

The i5-4460 is an 84 Watt TDP CPU.
