Product: HP Prodesk 405 G1 MT
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

What is the easiest way I can upgrade to a faster processor on this machine? It has a 1.5 ghz AMD A4-5000 on MB.

Can I replace with a faster processor or do i need to upgrade MB?

Appreciate help and info.

@appliancetech ,welcome to the forum.

 

Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the computer.  In the Illustrated parts catalog, Page 9, it lists the compatible processors.  The only upgrade from the current processor is an A6-5200, 2.0 GHz.  I don't believe that the system performance increase would justify the cost.  Of course, the decision to upgrade is one you will have to make.
