Processor upgrade

Hello,

I recently purchased this desktop in full working order from a value village less HDD and gpu. It had 12gb of ram, and I added a 320gb hdd, and a MSI r9 270 I had laying around. It’s pretty quick for it’s age. 

my question is about processor upgrades… the motherboard I read is a socket AM3, and currently has a Phenom ii x6 1045t, and a linear upgrade id consider would be 1075t or the 1090t.. I can get both off eBay, that being said, I have a socket AM3 Fx-6300 that is not in use… could I use that processor with this motherboard? 

I know all this tech is way outdated, but I paid $10 for the mostly complete tower, and filled it with my spare parts. 

I’d appreciate honest answers, it’s old, I know it, but it’s also running well, and I just want to know if anyone knows or has tried to use an FX series processor with these.
