Hi, I have a Victus 15l System SKU 7M502EA#ABU. Does anybody know if this can be upgraded to a core i7 or core i9? If so which one?
I've seen a few 65w core i7 and core i9 and wonder if they are a suitable upgrade?
Regards,
Stephen

Welcome to our HP community forum!
Your Victus By HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-1000i (6V9R9AV) as fitted with a RenoR2 motherboard (SSID: 8B3B), is compatible with an i7-13700 or an i7-13700F. This is also verified in this Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop TG02-1xxx User/benchmark link.
Since the i9-13900 and i9-13900F also sport 65-watt "Processor Base Power" TDPs, I don't see why these processors couldn't be compatible either with the RenoR2 motherboard.
But wait: according to HP's "RenoR2 system board specifications", even the i7-14700 and i7-14700F are supposedly compatible, [EDIT:] but I haven't seen any Victus 15L TG02 gaming desktops (yet) fitted with one of these 14th gen Intel processors. But as soon as I posted this, now I have: even the mighty i7-14700K (125-watt TDP!) as seen here, for example: HP Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop TG02-1xxx Performance Results - UserBenchmark. Mind you, this processor, due to its high TDP, is probably not 'recommended' by HP. And its benchmark performance ("Relative performance (0th percentile)" makes me wonder if this processor is severely heat-throttled. Meaning, if you were to install this processor, better upgrade your CPU heatsink/AIO as well.
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,
