The rear panel of the Prodesk 400 G4 MT has 6 USB ports, 2 next to the RJ-45 ethernet port and 4 below.
The Quickspecs, Hardware Reference Guide, and Maintenance and Service Guide disagree on which ports are which:
Quickspecs - the 2 upper ports are USB 2.0 for keyboard and mouse, the 2 ports below are USB 3.1, and the remaining 2 ports on the lower row are USB 2.0
Hardware Reference - the 2 upper ports are USB 3.1, the 4 lower ports are 2.0, and keyboard/mouse should be connected to these
Maintenance and Service - [same as Hardware Reference]
There is a keyboard graphic between one of the upper USB ports and one of the the lower ones, so that's a little ambiguous.
What's the story here? It's kind of important where the keyboard and mouse are supposed to be connected and which of the 6 are actually the higher speed USB 3.1 ports.

@trs3, welcome to the forum.
The only way that I know how to distinguish the USB ports is by color:
- White USB connector - USB 1.x. White Type A USB 1.x plug. ...
- Black USB connector - USB 2.x. Black Type A USB 2.x plug. ...
- Blue USB connector - USB 3.x. Blue Type A USB 3.x plug. ...
- Red or Yellow USB connector - Sleep and Charge. Red Type A USB Sleep and Charge plug.
Some ports may have SS for super speed.

Good suggestion, but there are no colors (other than black). There is an "SS" logo, and if you look closely, the contact and post pattern is different on 2 of the ports
In short, the Quickspecs are correct and the Hardware Reference and Maintenance and Service Guides are wrong. The USB 3.1 ports are the 2 leftmost ports on the lower row of 4, and keyboard and mouse belong in the upper 2 ports.
