Prodesk 600 G1
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

Recently I upgraded my Hp Prodesk 600 G1 CPU to core i7 4790, and cores temperature at full load reach 100 celsius.

by setting the maximum processor state at 88% it decreased to 82 celsius.

Is there any solution for solving this problem and use all the system capacity?

Note: I remove the dust from CPU fan and heatsink.

That's not right.

Did you clean off the old thermal paste and re-apply new thermal paste? Is it screwed down tight?

Dear Hibb1, It screwed down tight. I did not check the thermal paste, the seller told me he has changed it for free, but I guess he used cheap thermal paste. I will buy a new thermal paste, What type of paste do you recommend?

And one more thing, I have upgraded my BIOS to the latest release. After that, the core CPU temperature at normal fan speed fluctuates between 88°C and 90°C, and at maximum fan speed it has decreased to 79-80°C.
