ProDesk 600 G1 SFF, Z600
Other

Just bought a few HP products from ebay after working exclusiverly with Dell and building my own computers for the last 3 decades.

Regarding 600 G1

The latest bios for HP Prodesk 600 G1 SFF under "HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads" resulting from the serial number is 00.02.71 Rev. A

Base on a google search he latest bios as of 01/12/2019 seems to be described in document "TITLE: HP Business Desktop System BIOS (L01)" (ftp://ftp-boi.external.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp88001-88500/sp88063.html) which includes among other things HP ProDesk 600 G1 SFF is  00.02.75 Rev A and is considered "Critical".   Caution "FIXES:  - Due to security changes, after loading this (02.75) BIOS, older versions cannot beinstalled."

Why isn't the latest, critical, 02.75 bios listed on HP ProDesk 600 G1 driver's page?  EOL already?

Regarding Z600 design

Got a beast of a Z600 for a very good price and with some minor improvements (sata 3, usb 3, and max ram) it could be even better. Slick, quiet, tool-less, bullet proof case, but what is the deal with the plastic HDD pullout trays?

 TIA

I know it is a old question, but i had the same issue this week.

You can find the bios version 2.77 in sp96014.exe on the site ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp96001-96500/

The 2.75 bios is found in sp88063.exe on the site ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp88001-88500/
