I recently bought a used Prodesk 600 G4 Desktop Mini and intend to pugrade it with a i7-8700T.
I've done similar upgrades on various older HP and Lenovo machines, still I wonder one thing:
the currently used i3-8100T has a TDP of 35W and no turbo, the i7 also has a TDP of 35W, but Turbo boost and more cores. Reviews show this CPU consuming over 75W in short bursts;
So I wonder: do I need a better/ greater power supply or has HP lowered the TDP to 25W in UEFI? And how do i know? Thanks in advance.
