Purpose of keys with symbols or icons

My keyboard might even be the same. The desktop is 27-a210, HP Pavilion All-in-One. I'm not sure why the button has an association with the numeric keypad. I was associating it with an accountant adding machine!

In the past, I would generally use Windows "Snipping Tool". But now Windows has an updated "Snip and Sketch". Until there is better documentation for the above Key, it's usefulness is vague.

I am also a proud owner of an HP Chromebook. Of course, the Icon Copy Key is not standardized by HP.
