Greetings all

Within the HP Motherboard (748612-001 ) for Desktop model 5810.  The illustrated parts map shows that there are two (flying lead) port connectors marked as: MEDIA 12V USB connector.

The pinout configuration of the above connectors look to be identical to those of normal USB types found on most commercial motherboards. This being the observation, can these be used as normal USB2 port (flying lead) connectors?

I ask, as these are unused/not connected and the illustrated parts catalogue (available peripherals) do not show any flying leads that would utilise any of these. As I have recently successfully installed and run a 512Gb NVMe drive (containing my Linux distro) into my desktop system, it would be very useful to use one of the above USB ports to connect a bootable USB flash drive internally?

I've done some research online but to no avail and it would be nice to see a motherboard pinout configuration for these particular USB ports. does anyone have any information regarding the above?

Look forward to your responses

Thanks in advance
