Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey! This is prolly a dumb question, but I have no idea about this stuff and was just wondering if i can use a GPU with a Sunflower MB? idk if that matters or anything, i know it wont a really, really good GPU if it is compatible, but im just wondering, I only have a Ryzen 3200g with 8 GB ram, and happy with just that. i wanna upgrade it tho because its very very slow and idk if i should get a GPU or what! if so please lmk what power supply AND GPU would be the best! thanks for taking the time to help me! Have a great day/night!

@Worm4828,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Your PC cannot be fitted with the Sunflower motherboard (SSID: 8433) because that motherboard only allows Ryzen 1000 and 2000 series processors, not a Ryzen 3 3200G. [EDIT:] unless you meant a Ryzen 3 2200G.

If I had to guess, you got an Erica motherboard (SSID: 8643) instead, and your PC is something like an HP Desktop M01-F0xxx. [EDIT:] unless you meant a Ryzen 3 2200G, and in that case you got a Sunflower motherboard.

In any regards, you want to install a graphics card. Please provide what model PC you got, and the wattage of your power supply. In order to power any meaningful graphics card, you will likely have to upgrade your power supply as well, because many HP PCs are standard fitted with a paltry 180-watt power supply.

Also, in order for me to suggest some graphics cards, I need to know what your expectations are -such as what games you plan to play, and if 1080p res is good enough for you.

And please upgrade your RAM to at least 2x8GB.

Kind Regards,
