Tried both.  No go.  Same result, turns on, the led's turn off and back on with no display.  HDMI plugged directly into the mobo.

Tomorrow I'm going to test the 4070ti super in a different desktop (son's gaming PC) to see if it's OK.

You have the correct dual 8-pin PCIe to 16-pin PCIe power adapter cable to power the RTX 4070 Ti Super?

Yes.  One came with the Corsair PSU I was planning on using for the separate power supply to gpu setup (see 3rd cable in the picture).  The 4070ti super did power on with that setup when I tried it, no display to the monitor though.

Good. Have you tried the 16-pin power adaptor cable plugged in to the 650-watt power supply?
