I have an HP Obelisk 875-1040st that's a few years old. I'm not quite ready to replace it, but want to upgrade the storage space for gaming needs. It came with a 512 GB SSD as the C drive and a 3 TB HDD as the secondary D drive. I have an open SSD2 slot that isn't currently being used and want to add a second SSD. Does it matter what size I pick to slot in there? I saw some old post that mentioned adding an identical size SSD and configuring them for RAID 0, but I am wondering if that's necessary. I am hoping I can just plug in a new, larger secondary SSD (call it the E drive) and install all my games onto it.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

It is up to you, you can simply ADD a stand alone drive w/o a need to configure RAID 0. Due to its physical size, there are many standard 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD's around. I know some vendors now can squeeze up to 4TB drives to its physical size but I don't know how good/bad/ugly they are.
