Microsoft Windows 11

I was playing my computer game when out of nowhere, my fan speeds ramp up and become reasonably loud, which has never happened before. I open the OMEN gaming hub to see if there is mention of something going on. CPU/GPU temps were in the green and when I look at my fans, the chassis exhaust fan and CPU fans are listed as inactive. I don't know anything regarding this type of stuff but assumed they should be on by default. I shut my PC down, boot it back up and on the screen is a mention about my CPU fan not working properly and HP recommends I do not use my computer like this. It shuts off as I'm reading the message so I decide to turn it back on to see if I can get it to pop up to take a picture of the message but everything loads as normal. I go back into my fan speeds and now the CPU fan seems to be working but the chassis exhaust fan is still inactive. What should I do to go about this situation and any tips for future situations?
