I am trying to upgrade my PC and wanted to buy a Intel I7 9700K for my hp omen 880-101na so i went on the specification page for my motherboard (Tampa 2) and it said it would support it. https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c06177288

But, when i went on the specification page for my PC (which has the exact same motherboard) and went on the processor section,the I7 9700K didn't show up. https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c05844408

So of course I'm a little bit confused if the Tampa 2 supports the Intel I7 9700K or not.

Hello, in this page the i7-9700K is not indicates, so in factory it is not compatible:

However, here it is indicates BIOS updates of this computer has added the support of this processors. 

 

So this processors can be compatible with your PC, but you need before the replacement install the last version of your BIOS with the link I have given to you.

You need to download the file, and open it to upgrade the BIOS. Your PC will reboot.

My pc is turning on and off continuously is that normal?
