Product: HP Compaq 6005 Pro SFF PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Crucial  scan says i can use DDR3 PC3-14900 • CL=13 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1866 • 1.35V • 512Meg x 64 ..My computer has DDR3 PC3-10600 (1333 MHz)..I thought i had to say with my supported ram speed because of mobo and cpu..SG972UC#ABA,HP Compaq 6005 Pro SFF PC..  I have the chance to buy the faster ram if it will work. Thanks if you can help !!

The B97 is not listed on pg 2 of the illustrated parts guide.

Can i use the faster ram with this cpu?(AMD Phenom II X4 B97 4 Core) it says it supports ddr3 but not the speed..

The speed , actually bandwidth, of the memory will default back to the allowable bus speed that the memory controller will accept. 

 

It won't run at  1866 mhz. It will run at the lower 1333 mhz.
