Hi @H3ADHUNT3R9983,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Yes, you can definitely upgrade the RAM on your Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-0000, and it’s a great way to boost performance, especially if you’re doing gaming or multitasking.

Here’s a simple guide.

Check your current RAM:

  • Your PC currently has 8GB of DDR4 RAM (likely in one stick).
  • Your system probably has two RAM slots, so one is empty.

Upgrade options:

  • Maximum RAM: Your PC can typically support up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM.
  • Recommended upgrade: For gaming, upgrading to 16GB (either adding an 8GB stick or getting two new 8GB sticks) would give you a noticeable performance boost.

RAM type:

  • Your desktop uses DDR4-3200 MHz RAM. Make sure the RAM you buy matches this specification.
  • Stick to DIMM (desktop) memory modules, not SODIMM (which is for laptops).

Upgrade process:

  1. Turn off the PC and unplug it.
  2. Open the case: There should be screws at the back of the case to remove the side panel.
  3. Locate the RAM slots: These are on the motherboard.
  4. Insert the new RAM into the empty slot (or replace both sticks if you’re upgrading fully). Make sure it clicks in place.
  5. Close the case, plug everything back, and turn on the PC.

Your PC should automatically recognize the new RAM. You can check this by right-clicking on the Start menu, selecting System, and looking at the Installed RAM section to verify.

Recommended RAM kits:

  • 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 MHz for a smooth gaming experience.
  • 32GB (2 x 16GB) if you want to future-proof or do memory-intensive tasks.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
