I'd like to upgrade the memory on my computer and the Odense2-K shows to support DDR4-2400 memory. However, it requires you to have the "Pavilion Power Chassis". I have an HP Envy, so I do not have the Pavilion Power Chassis.
But why does it require this particular chassis? Is it a clearance issue or a power issue? If I wanted to use DDR4-2400, would I need to upgrade my PSU as well from 300W? Or is it some other factor that is preventing the use of this memory?
Since my mobo supports that speed of memory, I'd like to use it if at all possible.

Hello
I have already seen this, but truth be told, I also do not understand the link between the chassis, and the motherboard!
On the product page, however, it just says this:
- Amount: 12 GB
- Speed: PC4-17000 MB/s
- Type: DDR4-2133
- Dual channel (one DIMM per channel) memory architecture
- Two DDR4 UDIMM (288-pin) sockets
- Supports PC4-17000 (DDR4-2133)
- Supports 4 GB and 8 GB UDIMMs
- Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
note:
32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory. - Supports up to 16 GB (unbuffered) on 64-bit computers
Try the scan with the site here:
You can always try, either the modules will work without problem, or the frequency will be on the lowest!
At worst not to work at all ..
In all cases, the resellers take back the modules, if that does not work, most often without problem

I see those items on the computer specs, but the motherboard (Odense2-K) specifications shows the possibility of 2400 and I really would like to know what the hold up is, if anyone knows.
I'm going to be upgrading my PSU anyway because I'll be pulling in a new graphics card, so if it's a simple power issue, I will be able to address that very easily.

Except, if someone has already tried, it will be difficult to answer
It's not a power supply problem, I don't see the connection
