Hello all. I am new to the HP forums and do not know if this post is in the correct location. If not, let me know.
Here is what I wanted to ask. I have an HP Pavilion 590-p0024. It came stock with a stick of 8GB DDR4-2666 RAM. My question is, how far can I upgrade the speed of the RAM? Is 2666 the highest speed I can get for this system? Can I buy RAM that is, say, DDR4-3000 or DDR4-3200? I am using a completely stock system and do not know the average limitations of a stock motherboard, only third party ones. Attached are CPU-Z screenshots of my Motherboard and the SPD tab of the RAM that I found already installed in the system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have only ever used motherboards I bought from motherboard companies and have no clue about stock hardware.
