Hi,

Am using Compaq Presario Model SG377OIL - which has 2GB 2Rx8 PC2-6400U-666-12-E1 RAM from Kingston, I want to add another 2GB for RAM, but the same Spec of Ram is not available, can any one suggest the same spec of RAM from different vendor?

And what is 666-12-E1 Means?

@Balamurugan25,

After some corrections.  Your model is an SG3770IL  (note the 0 is a number, instead of an O).

RAM is speed rates, that unit can use 667 or 800 MHz modules

  • Dual channel memory architecture
  • Two 240-pin DDR2 DIMM sockets
  • Supported DIMM types:
    • PC2-5300 (667 MHz)
    • PC2-6400 (800 MHz)
  • Non-ECC memory only, unbuffered
  • Supports 2GB DDR2 DIMMs
  • Supports up to 4 GB* on 32 bit PCs

Here is the exact pair you can use.
