HP Pavilion 590-p0032na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

PC posts but there is no display, not even HP logo.

There is 3 long beeps then 2 short beeps.

The RAM is seated correctly.

The slots are clean and function with the old RAM.

Tried power reset but it didn't work.

How can i fix this?

Hi @Gr0ng0,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The beeping pattern you are hearing indicates a hardware issue with your HP Pavilion 590-P computer. Specifically, 3 long beeps followed by 2 short beeps usually points to a problem with the graphics card.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Check the graphics card: Ensure that the graphics card is properly seated in its slot. Sometimes, it can become loose during transportation or handling. Remove the graphics card and reinsert it firmly, making sure it is securely in place.
  • Verify power connections: Ensure that the power connectors to the graphics card are properly connected. Check if any cables have come loose or if there are any visible signs of damage.
  • Test with onboard graphics (if available): If your HP Pavilion 590-P has onboard graphics, try connecting your display to the motherboard's video output instead of the graphics card. This will help determine if the issue lies with the graphics card or elsewhere in the system.
  • Test with a different graphics card: If possible, try using a different graphics card in your system to see if the problem persists. This will help identify whether the issue is with the graphics card itself or with another component.
  • Reset BIOS settings: Resetting the BIOS settings to default can sometimes resolve issues related to hardware configuration. To do this, power off your computer, unplug it from the power source, remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard for a few minutes, and then reinsert it. This should reset the BIOS settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
