HP Pavillion PC Desktop p6754y
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I just purchased 4 sticks of RAM, 4GB each, to upgrade my HP Pavillion PC Desktop p6754y (64-bit Windows 7 system) from the factory 4GB RAM (2 sticks 2GB each) to 16GB RAM (4 sticks 4GB each). HP Support site says that PC will take 16GB with 64-bit systems:

Memory (factory)

4 GB
  • Amount: 4 GB
  • Speed: PC3-10600 MB/sec
  • Type: DDR3-1333
 Memory upgrade information
  • Dual channel memory architecture
  • Four DDR3 DIMMs (240-pin) sockets
    • PC3-8500 (DDR3-1066)
    • PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333)
  • Non-ECC memory only, unbuffered
  • Supports 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB DDR3 DIMMs
  • Supports up to 16 GB on 64-bit systems
  • Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit PCs
*32-bit PCs cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.

I purchased four 4GB RAM sticks brand A-TECH. Stick specs:

4GB DDR3 PC3-10600 DIMM/1333MHz

2Rx8 1.5v

After installing, the minute I turn on the PC it starts beeping (long beeps) and the screen never comes up. I can't even go into the BIOS to set RAM info.

Please help.

@DragonK

Please use SAM brand/specs with the EXISTING RAM.

What is SAM brand/specs?

Specs in new RAM are identical to specs in existing RAM, except 1RX8 in existing RAM and 2RX8 in new RAM (because existing RAM was 2GB sticks and new RAM is 4GB sticks).
