I have a HP ProDesk 600 G1 SFF i5-4570 with 4 modules of 4Gb each, so in total 16Gb. I want to extend this to 32 Gb. I bought following 4x 8Gb modules from Samsung M378B1G73EB0-CK0. Directly after starting up the PC is beeping and doing nothing. Can't also come into bios. Does anyone know what is the reason? According to my reasons this should work.

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
You are correct: your Samsung M378B1G73EB0-CK0 RAM should work as advertised.
The first troubleshooting suggestion I have is to disconnect power, open your desktop, and take out all RAM sticks, use compressed ('canned') air to blow out your motherboard's RAM slots, and insert one RAM stick at a time, restart, in order to determine if perhaps one of your RAM sticks is defective.
Also, make sure each RAM stick is gently but firmly 'snapped' in all the way.
Let's start with this.
Kind Regards,

Hi NonSequitur777, thanks for your support. I did a check and found out that two modules were failing.
Correct DDR3 ram: M378B1G73EB0-CK0
Failing DDR3 ram: M378B1G73DB0-CK0
Any idea why the D-version does not work?
I considered that this issue is solved, but your answer is still welcome!

Glad I was able to assist.
The only idea I have why the "EBO" version works and the "DBO" fails, is that according to DDR3_Product_guide_Oct.16.book (samsung.com) the working EBO-RAM is 6th generation, whereas DBO-RAM is 5th generation of this particular DDR3-RAM series.
Other than some changes in the internal chip architecture/ROM programming, I could find no other (obvious) documented differences that would explain why the newer version would work, but the previous gen doesn't, even though they appear otherwise identical.
Glad you were able to find out what worked, though!
I imagine 4 x Samsung M378B1G73EB0-CK0 it's going to be!
Kind Regards,

Indeed, I saw somethink about a die-shrink, with should mean that the functionality is same. I could imagine that it does not work with new version ram, but expected at least it works alone...and that both RAM modules are broken is also stange to me...thanks for your post!
