Well Paul, the upgrade went fairly smooth, all things considered. After selecting user account many programs open much faster. Overall most functions seem to work faster and more smoothly. Did not get the 'blue screen of death' that I saw posted by some people somewhere (probably Windows community).
Only lingering issue is when right clicking on a file, especially a picture file, the spinning blue circle works for anywhere between 20 to 30 seconds before displaying the menu window. Used Windows support to research and found comments relating to an update (kb2952664) going back at least 4 years relating to this suddenly happening after installation. I only noticed it for perhaps the last six months. does not seem to be a fix, especially since Windows 7 support is close to ending. Will continue researching due to it being rather annoying when trying to just get stuff done. Any thoughts on this?
Otherwise, no complaints with the product you suggested, New Egg was impossible to work with, went to Amazon, got it for same price + free shipping & was here in 2 days. Happy with general overall performance returning.
Thanks for your help during this process.
