I have a HP Tower G9 Z2 450WATT (HSD-6H903UT#ABA) and a HP RTX4000 8GB (5JV89AT). Will this work. Powered on one time correctly. Works fine with no video card. Is this supported?

@Steve-Genentech,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

A Nvidia Quadro RTX 4000 8GB graphics card, according to https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/quadro-rtx-4000.c3336, requires a minimum 450-watt power supply which you have.

An HP Z2 G9 Tower Workstation Desktop PC is certainly compatible with the RTX 4000 cards according to HP Z2 G9 Tower Workstation Desktop PC specifications | HP® Customer Support:

By the way, if a power supply upgrade would ever become necessary, you have two additional options -the 700-watt PSU being the best pick, in my opinion:

And perhaps your issues may have something to do with having the right driver installed.  I cannot vouch for the following driver download, but it is something you should look into: https://drivers.softpedia.com/get/GRAPHICS-BOARD/NVIDIA/HP-NVIDIA-Quadro-RTX-4000-Graphics-Driver-30....

Kind Regards,
