@nsourt,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Your experience is valuable and points to a solution that can help others, but more detail about the specific steps and the trade-offs involved (e.g., power consumption or stability concerns) would make your statement more useful for others following the same path, in my opinion.

Areas for Clarification or Improvements:

  • System Stability: Disabling power management features might affect overall system stability and efficiency, so you might want to monitor your system to make sure it doesn’t introduce other issues such as overheating or instability.

  • Lack of Details on Performance: You could provide more context on how well the RX 6400 is performing after disabling the power management settings (e.g., gaming performance, stability under load, etc.). This would be helpful for other users considering similar upgrades.

Kind Regards,

Hello.

First you have to select in BIOS Legacy Support Disable and Secure Boot Disable.

Then disable power management options.

The issue is that BIOS will not recognize the RX 6400 card, but Windows 11 will do.

If you want to see the BIOS setup on screen you have to connect the monitor to the motherboard embedded DisplayPort.

In Windows you can connect the monitor with the GPU (RX 6400).

The benchmarks’ results, consumption etc. you can see them below:

Thank you
