HP Desktop PC M01-F0000a (6HR54AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone!

So I want to upgrade my current GPU (GeForce GTX 1030) to the Radeon RX 6600. To supply it, I already bought the L05757-800 with 500W and an 8-Pin PCIe, so that should not be a problem.

But I'm not really sure, if it physically fits into my computer, the M01-F0012ng (8BT27EA). The RX 6600 uses 2 slots, which I think I have (maybe what I saw was something completely different...) and is 19 cm long, 11 cm high, and 4 cm wide.

Is there a website that shows data about my computer? I don't want to measure it manually, because that would probably prove unreliable.

So, if you know something about that, I would be quite excited if you could share your wisdom! 😄

Many thanks in advance.

@_What_Ever,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

You really should take your own case measurements -especially when it comes to the length of the card.

You may have to apply some (minor) mods, as shown in this related link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Successful-Power-Supply-and-Gra....

What a warm welcome, thank you!

In that case, I will take my own measurements.

Is it possible, that you explain what you mean by "mods"? That post you showed me is really helpful, but does it also apply to me, who has Erica2 as motherboard?

@_What_Ever,

You're welcome!

The "mods" I am referring to apply to the small 'snips' (cuts) made into the case, such as into the black retention bracket as shown in one of the pictures, which is the same amongst HP Desktop PC M01-F series PCs.

Kind Regards,

Hello NonSequitur777,

I read the post thoroughly, and now I see what you mean. Do you, by chance, have any other posts that could potentially be helpful to me in my endeavour? Looking at your profile, it seems you have quite a lot of experience. So if there is anything on your mind you would deem useful for me, I would be dying to receive it.

I wish you a great day!
