Hi,

 

Can anybody tell me the answer exactyly about the airflow for the radiator fan? Which picture should be the correct way? Picture 1 or Picture 2?

 

I get confusing on this thing.

 

Besides, I would like to buy crosair SP fan to replace the HP stock fan.

Hi,

 

The airflow should be moving the hot air away from the component and out of the tower.

 

A radiator in my example would be a CPU radiator in a liquid cooled system. The radiator is at the back of the tower. 

 

Your 1st method would push the hot air out of the tower.

 

This is the desired airflow to keep the ambient air temp in the case as cool as possible.

Front fans draw cool air in.

 

Rear fans push warm air out of the tower.

 

Radiator fans will push warm air away from the CPU and out of the tower from the rear or top of the tower.

Im sorry about the picture.

 

For your information, I only have one fan behind the radiator. Im wondering whether the air should be towards the radiator then out to the tower.

 

This is my build.

 

" >"  means "facing to" 

 

Fan>RADIATOR>Tower

 

So here are 2 ways. Which one is  the correct way?

 

1st Method

air flow to >>>>>> RADIATOR  >>>>>> Out to the tower?

                       (Push)                             (Push)

Or

 

2nd Method

Air flow <<<<<<< Radiator<<<<<< tower

                    (Pull)                            (Pull)
