Product: HP Z840
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Raid 5 array made up of 4 x 4tb hard drives. I have assigned it the drive letter Z. The problem is that the drive keeps disappearing from my computer. If I go into disk management it seems to have lost its drive letter. If I reassign it the drive reappears. It just randomly forgets its drive letter. How do I stop this happening?

Thanks for this. My scenario is none of those though. For some reason after a period of inactivity, Windows forgets the drive letter. I have to reassign it in disk management. Its not connected to a reboot. As my Dropbox is on the drive I get a notification from Dropbox that my Dropbox is no longer available. I will start tracking when it happens. I wish there was a log programme so I could figure out why. Tha ks again.
