Desktop came with 4gb ram 2ea 2gb cards. Both in the 2 blue slots, 2 other empty slots.
Memory is DDR3 1333 10600. I ordered the same memory in 16gb, 2ea 8gb cards.
I took out the 4gb and installed 16gb in same slots. Unit won't boot, screen blank. ??
I HAVE DETERMINED THAT 4 RAM STICKS WILL WORK - IN PLACE OF THE 2 HIGHER STICKS.

@jimtoll -- yes, some motherboards support only 2 GB per DIMM slot.
The web-site: www.crucial.com is a good resource for determining how much RAM can be used in many computers.

@jimtoll -- on some computers, it is important to fill some RAM sockets _first_ , e.g., DIMM #1, #2, #3/empty, #4/empty.
Can you try just using ONE of the "new" sticks, and none of the "old", to see if that is OK with the motherboard?
If so, place the second "new" stick in the same-coloured socket, and try again.
