@Adrian_Aouseus , welcome to the forum.

What is the Product Number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information. You can find the Product Number at the bottom of the page when you open HP Support Assistant.

For the speed of your memory to be set at 3200 MHz would require that HP have a XMP Profile in the BIOS/UEFI.  This would be a setting in the BIOS/UEFI.  If it is not there, you won't be able to overclock your memory to 3200 MHz.

Thank you for the additional information, @Adrian_Aouseus!

My answer in my previous post is correct.  The maximum speed of the memory that will work with your motherboard is DDR4-2666.  The basic speed of memory is 2133 MHz.  HP had to add a XMP profile to the BIOS/UEFI to overclock it to 2666 MHz: https://www.pcgamer.com/what-are-xmp-profiles-and-how-do-i-use-them/

If you upgrade to more memory you should buy it from HP or it most likely won't be OC'd to 2666.
