Recently my pc started making 3 long beeps and 2 short ones. After some researching on here I discovered it was a ram stick issue. I was able to boot up with zero issues with just the right stick of ram. Would I simply need to replace the left one? I only have two in total or is there something else I could try?

Hello
disconnect anything that is unnecessary, just leave the keyboard, mouse, and screen.
Turn on, the computer, with a module, since it seems to work
After full start turn it off
Unplug the power cable, then long press the power button
open the computer, carefully clean the memory slot

swap slot module

restart, if not better contact after sales support, if still under warranty

Hi,

I would reinstall the second stick to see if the memory needed to be reseated.

Or swap the sticks.

A no boot means you have a bad stick of RAM or the memory socket could have failed.

Regards

I tried to reseat it and it did not work. I determined both memory sticks are fine since I tried them both on the right socket one at a time to test them and the pc booted up with no problem minus performance issues for having just 1 stick of ram but anytime I tried using the left socket pc would fail to boot up and give the 3 long beeps and 2 short ones. I don’t see any visible damage on the socket so I really don’t understand for the life of me how this occurred. I don’t see what else I could do to fix it.

Yea I will give that a try. At this point I believe it’s the socket but it is under warranty and will send it for repair if I need to was just hoping I wouldn’t have to lol but it is what it is.
