I would like to upgrade my pc with two 3200 mhz ram banks but from what I have seen my motherboard (843B) only supports up to 2666 mhz, so is it possible to install these two ram banks without encountering problems?

@DrChri,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

You are correct, as per HP's specs for your desktop/Lincs motherboard (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05991291), the max RAM speed that can be attained by your desktop is 2666 MHz.  So at the very least your 3200 MHz RAM will not run at 2666 MHz, and could even be stuck at a lower speed such as 2400 MHz.

Your are best off getting RAM that is RAM-speed compatible, such as Samsung M378A1K43CB2-CTD (2x8GB).
