HP Z8 G4 Workstation (Z3Z16AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I am looking for RAM upgrade for my HP Z8 G4 - Gold 622R CPU @ 2.90 GHz workstation running Windows 11.

Currently it has only 16 GB RAM with following memory cards

Slot 1: 8GB Samsun 2933 MHz

Slot 2: 8GB Samsung 2933 MHz

Computer is being used for general purpose, financial, Excel, internet games etc.

I was thinking of upgrading to 32 Gb with two additional 8 GB memory cards.

Looking for suggestions on where to get compatible memory cards for upgrade.

I will appreciate help on where to buy and how much Ram may be appropriate for next few years before the computer gets outdated.

Thanks

@jascool,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

You can purchase matching 2x8GB Samsung DDR4 2933 RDIMM M393A1K43DB1-CVF Server 288-pin Memory RAM sticks from this trusted eBay Seller: https://www.ebay.com/itm/326199757281?_skw=M393A1K43DB1&epid=10037666964&itmmeta=01JJJC9MESBB29CEWFM....

If you just buy two 8GB RAM sticks (for a total of 4x8GB), they have to be installed like this in your Workstation:

You can obviously buy more 8GB RAM sticks, up to 12x8GB = 96GB, and they have to be installed according to this Table.

Kind Regards,
