I was wanting to upgrade the ram from what the computer came with which was,
4gb (2 x2) 2rx8 pc3-10600u
I have MS 7613 Inverness Motherboard. I was looking through the specification and came across this.
- Dual channel memory architecture
- Two DDR3 DIMMs (240-pin) sockets
- Supported DIMM types:
- PC3-8500 (DDR3-1066)
- PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333)
- Non-ECC memory only, unbuffered
- Supports up to 8 GB on 64-bit systems
- Maximum memory only if using 4GB DDR3 DIMM modules
I have DDR3 1600 240 pin with me and would like to use it. How can I go about this? Will it work with the mother board?

Got it. The Hynix DDR3 2GB RAM you referenced will work.
However, speaking of upgrading, I would suggest to install 2 x 4GB RAM sticks.
If you want to 'stick' with Hynix, the part number for a 2 x 4GB RAM kit is: HMT351U6CFR8C-H9.
(8GB kit, (2 x 4GB) 240-pin DIMM, DDR3 PC3-10600U, Dual Rank, Non ECC, Unbuffered 1333 MHz RAM Memory Module by Hynix)
Pretty affordable too: $28 via Amazon, for example: 8GB kit, (2 x 4GB) 240-pin DIMM, DDR3 PC3-10600U,Dual Rank, Non ECC ram Memory Module by Hynix (HMT3...

The ram I described is the one that currently in the pc at the moment,
the one that I have extra that I hoped to use was
“crucial CT51264BD160B”
but looking at the one you suggested, it will probably be better to follow your advice
