I have 4gb of ram in my system right now, I wanted to know if my motherboard and cpu can handle it if i get it upgraded to 16 gb

Below is the link to the motherboard specs for the 86E9 motherboard SSID.

 

HP Desktop PCs - motherboard specifications, Milton | undefined

 

The PC can support up to 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-2666 MHz memory.

 

You can also install DDR4-3200 CL22 Memory but it will only run at 2666 MHz.
