Hi paul im in desperate need of your help. I currently am the owner of a hp compaq 8100 elite convertible minitower business pc. I also own a read rx 480. My problem is that when i try to put the card into the white pci slot it doesnt fit due to the hard drive and cd drive cables sticking out of the motherboard. Also after succesfully fitting it into the black slot i was given 6 red beeps and fan spinning very loudly. Indicating a graphics card problem. If you could please help or anyone else it would mean the wolrd to me.

Hi:
The card goes in the black PCIe x16 slot.
I would have to conclude that the video card is not compatible with your PC since it has a legacy BIOS.
I don't think you can run an AMD card in there that is newer than the Radeon HD 6xxx series.
