Paul, you are the best. i got the adapter card. now i need to find the stretch release tape for replacing the cover. do u know if it is specific to this model? where can i buy it? thanks in advance-

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know what tape is used.

 

I found this discussion which references stretch tape for an AIO PC.

 

Tape - ASSY, Adhesive Tape on Rear Cover (L83912-001) - HP Support Community - 7883789

 

The part number the person references would work for the PC's indicated at the link below;

 

Click on the + sign to see the list and you can list up to groups of 50.

 

HP PartSurfer

 

HP does not sell that part number.

 

I didn't see it on eBay except for a listing that ended a couple of months ago, so you will probably have to do a general search by the part number to see what you can find.
