m01-f1024
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone, I recently got a hp m01-f1024  (Ryzen 7 4700g) with 16 GB of Ram. The only is I didn't get a display connector cable with the computer. I was told HDMI was the best for the model but this is my first time setting up a desktop. So I don't know what to buy so I can start using the desktop.

Is that VGA-output from your ASUS laptop connecting to VGA-input on your AOC monitor?

If so, you definitely need to tell the monitor to "listen" to the HDMI-input.

@DatCzechItalian , welcome to the Community.

Here is an example of the HDMI 1.4 cable that you need.  If you decide not to buy it, you can use it to buy one of your choice.

Awesome, thank you. I had a HDMI cord in the computer but it wasn't giving a signal to my AOC monitor. I'm just assuming it's the cord. Even though it works fine for my Asus Laptop.

@DatCzechItalian -- does your monitor have multiple inputs: VGA, DVI, HDMI ?

If so, you need to tell the monitor to "listen" to the video-stream coming through the HDMI cable.

Most monitors have an OSD (On Screen Display) to let you choose the "active" input.

It has a VGA input, not possible on the VGI but it has a HDMI input right below the VGA. But I'll try the monitor thing. Thanks!

You are welcome, @DatCzechItalian!

If you will provide the make/model of your monitor I will check to make certain which HDMI version it has available.  Then, I can recommend the best cable for it.
