HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-2000a (2Z6C8AV)

I currently have a 400w PSU with SMVB, 8906 (SSID) motherboard, running AMD RX 5500 4GB with integrated graphics. Would i need to upgrade my power supply to run a RTX GeForce 4060 8GB?

Welcome to the HP Forum.

An 8 GB 4060 at around 9.5 inches in length will work with the HP 400 watt power supply and your PC's case.

The HP 400 watt PSU should have one 6 + 2 pin PSU connector to power the 4060.

what about the 6700 xt? they seem equal in performance with the 6700 having 12gb ram instead of 8gb like the rtx 4060

You have a TP01 case. The HP TP01 and HP TGxx cases are the same.

Check this Video for 32 graphics cards which are good to go using the TGxx case. This YouTuber states all of the cards fit in the case. Don't shoot the messenger if you have a problem.

Expand the "more" section below the video to see a list of GPUs and purchase links.

The dual slot, dual fan PowerColor Fighter 6700 XT at the above list should fit in the TP01 case. I have this card installed in a Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact case and like it.

The 6700 XT will require a HP 500 watt PSU, part number L05757-800, available at eBay.
