HP ENVY Desktop PC TE01-5000i (8R3Q6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP ENVY Desktop TE01-5244 came with 16gb DDR4 3200MHZ Memory. I would like to add an additional "compatible"16gb DDR4 3200MHZ  memory stick, to upgrade system to a total of 32gb of installed memory.  What specifications of memory should I purchase to avoid any possible conflicts with my system? Are the following the specs for the correct memory that I should focus on: DDR4-3200 • CL=22 • Non-ECC • UDIMM • 288-pins • 1.2V • 1Rx8 or 2Rx8 • PC4-25600?  Does HP product store sell the correct version of DDR4 3200MHZ memory for my system? Views and comments are appreciated!

@Portobelo881,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

Let's first figure out what 16GB RAM stick you got.

Please type in: cmd in your Windows search bar, then left-click on the Command Prompt System App, then click on Run as administrator, and Yes to confirm (if it asks for it).

Then copy/paste/enter the following command:

wmic memorychip get devicelocator, manufacturer, partnumber

Using the PC I'm working with right now, you'll see something like this:

This will show you what RAM you got.

For best RAM performance, best to aim getting an identical RAM stick.

You can let me know what your part number is, and I'll try to find you the best/least expensive place to purchase one of these RAM sticks.

Kind Regards,
