Product: HP ENVY h8-1455 Desktop PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My  HP Envy came with a hand-held remote control and an IR Blaster.  I put fresh batteries in the remote control and plugged the IR blaster into the correct port, but the PC is not responding to the remote control.  I do see the infra-red light working in both the remote control and the IR Blaster, so I assume these two devices are communicating.  I also tried rebooting my PC, but the remote control still doesn't seem to do anything on my PC.  Anyone have any ideas?

only if we look at the product page, the computer is original with windows 8
and you can read this

Remote control for Media Center

Compatible with Windows Media Center

 

it is very likely that the features of windows 10 no longer allow the use of the remote control
moreover we will not find drivers for windows 10
