Can I replace the DVD writer on my Elite SFF 8000 to a 1T HDD? please advice. at the monent i have fix two 500GB HDD on the Desktop computer.

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

 

Presuming that your DVD is a SATA device (as will be the case with any newer PC), then yes, you can replace it with a SATA HDD as they use the same data and power cables.
