Pavilion 690-0013w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently purchased a HP Pavilion 690-0013w computer. It came with a 1TB 7200rpm hard drive and I want to replace it with a solid state drive. Can I use the open M.2 key M slot with the
Crucial MX500 500GB 3D NAND SATA M.2 Type 2280SS Internal SSD - CT500MX500SSD4 ?. From all my research it appears it will work fine however before I spend the money I would like to hear from the experts here.

I am not a HP employee.

 

You want to use a M.2 PCIe NVME SSD

 

Many newer HP PCs don't support M.2 SATA drives.
