Hello! I have an HP Omen 25L GT15-1134 which has been having some unidentifiable hardware issues since warranty expired (of course). I've done all the software-side troubleshooting I can, as well as replaced the graphics card to no avail, so I figured RAM was the next most sensible component to replace.
I purchased a "parts" computer of sorts, which uses a similar chipset, identical CPU, etc. and pulled the RAM from there - a pair of 8GB T-Force Vulcan DDR5 sticks, labeled as 5200 mHz and 40-40-40-76 (the exact p/n is FLBD58G5200HC40CBK, if needed).
I verified the BIOS was set to default profiles for everything, and installed the new RAM. The CPU fan and case fans would spin/illuminate for a second or two, then dim, repeating ~5-10 times before beeping a "32" fault at me. No output was displayed on the monitor whatsoever. I tried resetting the BIOS further by unplugging the PSU and holding the power button down for twenty seconds - which caused it to only flash the lights/fans with no beeping. I tried swapping the old RAM into slots 1&3 (where they are by default) and the new RAM into 2&4, with no luck.
I was able to boot just fine with the old RAM reinstalled into slots 1&3 and the new RAM removed, so this isn't some sort of catastrophe by any means, but I am exasperated by troubleshooting and would like to just have a working computer at this point.
Am I overlooking something obvious when it comes to installing RAM? Is this PC not as "upgradeable" and "user-friendly" as HP sold it as? If I need to cut my losses and recycle it, that's ludicrous - she's barely 2.5 years old and I'm too stubborn for that, but I really don't know what to do.
Thank you in advance!

Hi @Ellie707,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding RAM compatibility in the HP Omen 25L GT15-1134!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check RAM Specifications: Ensure that the RAM from your "parts" computer is compatible with the HP Omen 25L GT15-1134's specifications. This model supports DDR4 UDIMMs and can handle speeds up to PC5-41600 (DDR5-5200). Verify that the T-Force RAM matches these criteria and is compatible with your system’s motherboard specifications, particularly with regard to frequency and voltage.
Re-seat the RAM: Occasionally, RAM modules may not be seated properly. Ensure that the RAM is fully inserted into the slots with the side clips securing them in place. Remove and reseat each stick if necessary to ensure firm placement.
BIOS Settings: Check the BIOS settings to ensure that the RAM settings match the properties of the new RAM modules. Sometimes, manually adjusting the settings to match the RAM's frequency, voltage, or timings can help solve boot issues.
Test Each RAM Module Individually: Remove all RAM sticks except one and try booting the system with each module individually. This will help identify if one of the modules is faulty.
Refer to HP Documentation: For detailed specifications of the HP Omen 25L GT15-1134 Gaming Desktop PC, such as supported RAM types and configurations, refer to the HP Support Document for OMEN by HP 25L GT15-1134 Gaming Desktop PC.
I hope this helps.
