HP ENVY All-in-One - 27-b145se
Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP ENVY All-in-One - 27-b145se that uses an Intel i7-7700T.  In order to qualify for Windows 11 (getting security updates, features, etc) I have to replace the CPU.  Has anyone done this for this All-in-one desktop?  What CPUs will work with its motherboard?

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs for your PC.

According to the processor upgrade info, your PC already has the best processor supported in the motherboard your PC comes with.

You can stay with W10 or see the discussion below for how to bypass the W11 hardware checks so you can upgrade to W11.

OK, I was hoping the same cpu, but 8th gen would work.  Thank you for your response.

You're very welcome.

I was hoping for a fresh install of win 11.  I thought security and feature updates would fail (or not download) if using an unsupported cpu.
