Hello everyone hope I can get some help here because i am totaly lost as to what I need.
I have a OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 880-119na I have just bought a new graphics card Nvidia RTX 3060 I fitted this into my desktop and I just get 3 long beeps and 3 short I looked it appears that the power supply is not enough for the new card as its max is 500w. What are my options now as I am unsure if they will accept my reurn on my new card as it was my fault not checking the power when buying.
What can I replace the power supply with that will fit with no problem in my desktop ?
Thank you for looking and any help would be appreciated

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
Good news. Your OMEN By HP Desktop PC - 880-119na (4JT54EA) as per https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=4JT54EA is equipped with this power supply: 918591-800 ("Power Supply - GNRC, 500W ATX ES6 Bron Picolit2-Gfx") emphasis added.
This means that any standard industry ATX form factor PSU will do, provided you compare the physical (LxWxH) dimensions to make sure an upgraded PSU will fit inside your PC. Make sure the new PSU has the minimum wattage -at least 650 watt, and has at least two PCIe 6+2 / 8-pin power cables.
I would recommend using a well known name brand such as Corsair, EVGA or AresGame. I would further recommend to look into a semi- or fully modular power supply, but they are more expensive. The advantage is that cable management (you only plug in/use the power cables you need) is so much cleaner.
[EDIT:] For example, here is a discounted ($59.99) semi-modular EVGA 700 watt power supply with these dimensions: 85mm x 150mm x 140mm (H x W x L) 3.4 x 5.9 x 5.5 inches, which should fit (please measure & confirm): https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Bronze-Modular-Warranty-110-BQ-0700-V1/dp/B0877B3TJJ/ref=sr_1_1?crid=DJF....
Hope this was helpful.

Hi
Thanks for your advice I bought a corsair modular atx psu 750 watt.
But when i took the original one out I noticed that there is a power cable for the dvd drive attached to the original psu. My new psu does not have this type of cable for the dvd drive ? Not sure if I have to buy one separately.
And if so what do i look for not even sure what the cable is called ?
Any help please woud be appreciated
Thanks
Russell

We will find a solution. Please take a picture of the DVD drive & power cable -or at least the part number of your DVD drive.
I would have thought that your DVD drive is powered by a 15-pin SATA power cable, but perhaps HP decided to use something proprietary.
